A prestigious event for millennials, the Urban Sneaker Society (USS) was held again on 9-11 December 2022 at Hall A&B Jakarta Convention Center (JCC). This year, USS collaborated with Subaru, Jejouw, and RawType-Riot with the theme of the world of Rally in 90s Fashion.
Subaru is one of the brands that has scores of world rally achievements. Its heyday in the Rally world is inseparable from the Subaru Impreza WRX car, which dominated the World Rally Championship (WRC) event in the 90s. Ismail Ashlan, Marketing Manager for Subaru Indonesia, also said that Subaru’s presence at USS 2022 wanted to revive the Golden Era Rally timeline.
“Subaru invites Gen Z to look back at the golden era of the Indonesian rally world at USS 2022. The golden era that applies not only to Indonesia was lined up to host the World Rally Championship (WRC) at the Rally of Indonesia in Medan, North Sumatra in 1996-97, but also the golden age for Subaru, where Subaru became the World Manufacturers’ Champion, and Collin McRae became the World Drivers’ Champion in the WRC in 1995-97,” Ismail said.
Therefore, USS gave a grand raffle of 1 unit of a Subaru Impreza WRX vehicle. This car’s combination of blue and yellow colours has left an unforgettable story for petrolheads worldwide. The car, dominated by blue and enhanced by yellow, was wrapped by Maxdecal. The blue colour used is Maxdecal 9500 Glossy Candy Blue, while the yellow is Maxdecal 7500 Fluorescent Yellow.
